Are birds Dinosaurs? Can we genetically engineer a Dinosaur? What’s a Chickenosaurus? Is it wrong to try to control nature? Is the Dino Chicken proof of evolution? • Jerry needs no help playing with his ball.

I built the ball machine because I thought my dog Jerry, might like it and that it would be something fun for me to build. So after two years of on and off work, with many safety features such as IR proximity sensors to protect Jerry and my son from the machine, I finally complete. Far from being a replacement for me, I was always right there with him enjoying his fun. And with all the troubles that I went through to build the ball machine, I still end up throwing more balls than that the machine could count! According to the computer, he played with the machine by himself only 3 times in his life. I recently put this video on YouTube to keep alive my earlier memories of him and (hopefully) provide some "humorous distractions" for anyone that might drop by. Please enjoy the v...

From Glow in the Dark Rabbit to Anti-Cancer Purple Tomatoes here are 18 Genetically Modified Organisms You Don't Know About Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr # 9 Fish Strawberries The ripest and juiciest strawberries you got from the supermarket might contain the genetic traces of a fish. Scientists have been experimenting with combining strawberries with the “anti-freeze genes” that are found in cold water fish like Arctic Char and Sea flounders which help the strawberries resist freezing and dying in bad weather. Luckily, it doesn’t create a weird fishy-tasting strawberry. # 8 Glow in the Dark Rabbit Most genetically modified organisms have a scientific purpose in mind or a greater goal that usually justifies messing with something’s DNA spread. However, Eduard Kac used genetic engineering for creating works of art rather than for scientific research. His most notorious work was the Glow in the Dark rabbit named Alba. It sparked a debate about animal rights, but Alba died before anything was resolved. # 7 Goats Spliced with Spiders When you think of genetically splicing something with a spider, you usually think of superheroes with spider themed super powers. However, in real life, you can find animals that have been genetically combined with spiders - goats. Spider silk is flexible and strong, and some even want to try and produce it on a larger scale so we can use it to make things like parachute cords. One lab has spliced spider’s genes with a goat so that these flexible and strong spider silk genes would be replicated in their milk. This silk milk is also able to create Biosteel, a strong web-like material. # 6 Golden Rice Rice is a major staple food in many parts of the world partly because it's cheap and partly because it helps you feel full even when you don’t have much to eat. However, the normal white rice isn’t very healthy for you. That is why scientists are working on Golden Rice, rice that was spliced with vegetables like squash and carrots that not only create the golden color but include beta-carotene which is more nutrient dense and could help prevent blindness in children who eat it. # 5 Ear Mouse The most notorious genetically modified animal might be the ear mouse or the “Vacanti Mouse” which was created in 1995 by scientists in Massachusetts. The scientists wanted to prove that cartilage structures could be grown on other living creatures before being removed and transplanted into humans who need it. However, this mouse would quickly become famous or infamous as it went onto the Jay Leno show and then used as a mascot by animal-rights groups who were opposed to genetic modifications. # 4 Scorpion Cabbage The Androctonus australis is one of the most dangerous scorpions in the world with a venom that can cause tissue damage and death. So of course, we combined the genes from this scorpion with cabbage intended for human consumption. The gene of the scorpion’s venom changed when it was spliced with the cabbage. The venom is now only poison to insects, which spasm and die when they try to eat the crop. That same poison is supposedly completely harmless to humans, making it the perfect crop. # 3 Anti-Cancer Purple Tomatoes Researchers have created a tomato that is not only more flavorful but would also help prevent cancer. The researchers spliced tomatoes with the snapdragon flower to create a deep, purple tomato that almost looks like a blackberry. These super tomatoes contain potent antioxidants and inhibit the growth of cancer cells, ease the symptoms of diabetes, and even relieve the pains of growing old. You might just see purple tomatoes on your pizza someday soon. # 2 Chinese Dog-Pig This image went around the internet with a bunch of people thinking it was some sort of failed chimera of a pig and a dog because of its pink skin and strange tufts of hair. While it was not an animal that was genetically engineered in a lab, it is an animal that has been genetically engineered over generations and generations, like most dogs are. This dog, in particular, is the Hairless Chinese Crested Dog - an expensive and rare breed of dog that is highly sought after by some people. Even though the winner of the annual world’s ugliest dog contest is usually a Chinese Crested. # 1 Less-Flatulent Cows You might have heard that cows produce an excess of methane, which contributes to the dangerous greenhouse effect. It’s hard to make cows stop producing methane since they’re some of the most populous domestic livestock in the world and that is a natural part of their digestive progress. Until we genetically modified cattle to produce 25 less percent of the bacterium in their digestive tract that creates methane gas. Basically, we made cows that fart less.

Glow-in-the-Dark Cats The glow-in-the-dark cat was developed as a way to fight feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), which is related to HIV and typically affects feral cats. In 2011 American and Japanese scientists inserted genes in cats to help resist FIV. In order to mark the cells more easily, they also inserted a green fluorescent protein and both genes transferred to feline eggs. This let the scientists examine how this resistant gene developed within the cats by examination under a microscope. The modified cats are always normal during the day, but sometimes glow at night. Run-of-the mill pet owners are content to own dogs, cats, or hamsters. For the truly adventurous animal-lover, the average pet store standard just won’t satisfy. If you’re one of those pet enthusiasts who loves exotic and unusual creatures, read on. Here are 15 unreal (but legal) pets for your consideration. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 7. Wallaroo Wallaroos are cousins to the kangaroo and the wallaby, ranking in size between the two animals (hence the name). They live between 15 and 20 years, making them a fantastic long-term pet. Although their needs make them difficult to own for some, these animals are highly trainable and very gentle. Best for: People who can provide a large outdoor habitat. Wallaroos need ample exercise and space to roam. Just make sure you build a very tall fence, as these animals can jump. 6. Capybara The world’s largest rodent, the capybara, can weigh up to 140 pounds full grown. We’re not sure how an animal that big qualifies as a rodent, but if you like groundhogs or hamsters, this is a step up (in every way possible). Capybaras are intelligent, social, and gentle under most circumstances. Just keep your favorite pair of shoes hidden--capybaras will chew on just about anything. Best for: Owners who can provide plenty of space, attention, and handle more than one animal. Capybaras are herd creatures like many other rodents. They’re also great swimmers, so a nearby water feature or pool would serve you well. 5. Skunk Why would anyone want a stink-tastic skunk as a pet? For starters, they’re sensitive, intelligent, and very trainable, much like a domestic cat. Upon adoption, vets take out the glands that spray foul-spelling odor, so that’s a non-factor. Just be sure that a skunk is what you truly want as a pet. It’s illegal to take a domesticated skunk back into the wild, as they can no longer defend themselves against predators. Also, opt for a skunk that’s been bred in captivity as opposed to a wild skunk. Domesticated skunks are more trusting of humans. Best for: People whose home states actually allow skunk ownership (many states do not), and can provide the patient training and ample attention the animal deserves. 4. Pygmy Hippopotamus Love the looks of the hippopotamus (but don’t own a zoo)? Pygmy hippopotami are much smaller and less aggressive than their gigantic cousins. In the wild, this species is endangered--good luck finding a pygmy bred in captivity. This very solitary, nocturnal animal is about the size of a puppy when born, and half the size of a regular hippo in its adulthood. Best for: Actual zookeepers, rich people who can afford the expensive care and keeping (plus environment) required. This is truly an exotic pet. 3. Emperor Scorpion One man’s “Ick!” is another man’s “Awesome”. Such is the case with these African stunners, who can live up to 8 years in captivity with the proper care. And while they do sting, the pain is likened to that of a bee sting. Theses arachnids don’t enjoy being handled, but if you desire a pet with a frightening appearance, the emperor is king. Best for: Attentive caregivers (scorpions require specialized food and bottled water for misting). And if you plan on leaving town, be sure to find a scorpion babysitter who isn’t afraid of your beloved pet. 2. Piranhas Piranhas have the reputation for ripping the legs off of anything that wanders into their habitat. In reality, the piranha makes a relatively good aquarium pet. They rarely bite humans, unless of course you dangle your finger in front of them like a tasty worm. These speedy, entertaining Amazonians are available in a variety of breeds and colors and only have to be fed every other day, making them easier to care for than some of the other pets on this list. Best for: Experienced fish keepers willing to provide a warm, large aquarium and plenty of tank cleaning (as piranhas are relatively messy). If you feed your piranhas well, you can even keep certain types of other fish in the same tank with these little meat-eaters. 1. Madagascar hissing cockroaches Do you long for a pet that will scare away your annoying relatives? You may be surprised to find that not everyone in the world squishes cockroaches-- some people keep them as pets! Hissing cockroaches are wingless, bacteria-free, and calm, making them a surprisingly good pet for children or people with very little bug-keeping experience. You just have to get past the fact that you’re feeding and caring for…a cockroach. Best for: Nine-year old boys who want to scare their sisters.

Hybrid sightings increased 5 folds from 90 till 2013 to over 500 in 2016. They are mostly localized in Canada-North West US & Far East Asia. Do you know why? Some sighting produced by bears & monkeys seen by people with vivid imagination but others have camera footage, witnesses & so weird they couldn't be explained until now In dense forests of Washington State North Cascadia there is a fake Canadian border outpost with US Special forces dressed up as Canadian officers guarding a secret base Where a lot of genetic experiments were conducted like creation of this dog like creature with human DNA in early 2010s The base is surrounded by high voltage barb wire and has several medical doctors working there creating human hybrid monsters Then monster hybrids released to the woods and many sightings produced in Canada-North West US Sightings reported as far South as Northern California and as far North as Southern Canada With two similar hybrid breeding bases functioning in China and each hybrid is tracked by implanted GPS device They need population to believe that we are surrounded by alien and hybrid species in preparation to stage fake alien invasion in 2020s It all went as planned until one hybrid decided to return to his home and chased medical doctors who created him The other secret genetic experiment base you can actually find on Google Earth secluded in the desert of New Mexico It has a desert entrance leading to a vast underground facility of at least 10 floors built under the desert There DARPA scientists added human DNA genes responsible for brain development to monkey egg. On Christ Birthday 12.25.15 white half human monkey was born in New Mexico, US. Now hybrid is turning 8 months & she has significantly less hair than monkey, blue/gray eyes, human like hands & already showing brain development of 3 years old child. Another base has physical address 40550 Main Rd, Orient, NY 11957, US but when you try to approach this animal center US special forces with machineguns will meet you & send you back Few personnel who went there reported seeing these human animal hybrids growing there. They look so unreal it's hard to accept that they are living and breathing creatures. Yet they have an animal father and an actual human mother. China has come a long way from simply genetically improving monkey like creatures and selling them for pets To producing this actual Yeti hybrid Russia genetically improved Gorilla with human genes a few years ago As you can see this Gorilla can talk and walk upright There is one more base in Serra Nevada mountains with 50 miles underground tunnel leading to this CA desert that cannot be found on Google Earth It has an autonomous power generation plant at California-Nevada border It contains this DNA modification chamber with several best doctors working there to create real human alien hybrids using unwanted immigrant prisoners Human reptilian hybrid as it was shown on several major channels All Fake - It's a Gorilla wearing Black Man Suite. NOT SO FAST. Of course, a couple of episodes are likely staged to fill in the blanks that I cannot show you either because I don't have either copyrights or permission. News for you: 1. Human genetic experiments are very real. 2. Livermore labs in CA completed sequencing virus that will kill all Asians but do not affect Caucasians in the event of war with China. 3.Today I got permission from copyrights owner to put some very interesting stuff that will send a few unbelievers to mental asylum.

Can Dinosaurs be brought back from extinction? Would a Dinosaur make a good pet? Renowned Paleontologist and Jurassic World advisor Jack Horner seems to think so, and it turns out that the key to reviving these long-gone creatures might be hiding in the DNA of their living relatives; birds. Are birds Dinosaurs? Can we genetically engineer a Dinosaur? What’s a Chickenosaurus? Is it wrong to try to control nature? Is the Dino Chicken proof of evolution? Could Jurassic Park actually happen? Getting a new pet always starts out as a great idea. A small trip to a pet store or animal shelter may have you coming home with a new pet that you don’t know how to take care of properly. And while your initial thought may be to release the animal back into the wild, that can have devastating effects on the ecology. These are the Pets you should Never release into the wild. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 3. Hermit Crabs You have probably seen hundreds of hermit crabs on sale at your local mall or even some boardwalks. And while many people purchase these lovely creatures, many are still released into the wild. Even though these animals have the word hermit in their name, they prefer to live in small colonies. These small colonies need a fair amount of space to live comfortably in captivity, requiring at minimum a ten-gallon aquarium tank. Even after you get the tank, hermit crabs require a delicate ecosystem to live happy which involves a lot of hard work to maintain. With all of these requirements, many people decide that they can not keep these small creatures in their homes. Most people may try and return these creatures to the ocean, thinking that is the best place for them. However, hermit crabs that are released into the wild have a high chance of dying shortly after release. Most of these crabs struggle to find colonies to become part of since they were not born into a wild colony. And since they were raised with their owner feeding them, hermit crabs struggle to find food and survive in the harsh wilderness. Worst of all, the paint used to decorate these crabs to pull your attention to purchase them can be harmful to the environment and kill other creatures. The best option is for you not to purchase a hermit crab unless you are dedicated to keeping up their delicate living environment. If you have bought one and can no longer keep live with them, find a local pet store or aquarium to donate them to so they can live a happy life. 2. Turtle Turtles are sold as excellent pets for any family and can be found at almost any pet store for relatively cheap. While many people think giving a turtle a large aquarium tank and feeding them will be enough, turtles are actually difficult animals to keep in captivity. The most prominent drawback to a turtle is the commitment you are making. Turtles can live for decades, requiring you to feed and care for them long after your initial purchase. Besides the long lifetime, turtles can grow to enormous sizes during their life. While your brand new turtle may start out at only a few pounds, in five to ten years it can grow to 50 or more pounds. Once they reach these larger sizes, they can cause serious damage to your home and property, wanting to get into anything they can crawl onto and chew on anything that fits in their mouths. After some families have dealt with the difficulties of living with a turtle, some decide it would be best just to let a turtle roam back into the wild. Since most turtles become accustomed to you feeding and taking care of them, when they are released into the wild they no longer have the skills required to survive in the harsh environment. What is worse is that most pet turtles carry diseases that can threaten existing wildlife when released into the wild. Thankfully, if you are trying to get rid of your turtle, there are dedicated organizations to relocating turtles to a safe environment. 1. Goldfish Even though you may think of goldfish as a starter fish for your first aquarium, they are actually much more demanding of a pet than you might think. In almost every movie or TV show, you have probably seen a goldfish kept in a small glass bowl. The reality of goldfish, however, is that they require huge tanks. A single fancy goldfish needs a 30-gallon tank for them to live comfortably. For each additional goldfish, another 10 gallons is required for a healthy environment. Unfortunately, most general pet stores do not know of these restrictions and will sell a goldfish to anyone without caring about the size of a tank. For some, after realizing what is required for a goldfish, they will release them into a local pond or lake. When goldfish are released into nature, they can have a devastating impact on the environment. They can mix up sediment, tear up vegetation, and will eat eggs of the existing fish which can cause a massive shift in the ecology of a pond or lake. What’s worse, these goldfish can become enormous fish, and bread incredibly fast. So the next time you need to get rid of that goldfish you got as a gift or at the carnival, take them to almost any local fish store so they can take care of them.

Has science gone too far? Are humans playing God? These are all questions asked when dealing with topics such as creating hybrid animals, cloning and genetic engineering. While there can be a lot of benefits to it all, we are entering a world of the unknown and should proceed with caution. In this list we'll be showing you 5 of the strangest hybrid animals. We would like to give a big shoutout to viewers safwan wan, Darren Fennelly & max flame for suggesting this video. --------------------SECOND CHANNEL------------------- Check out my second channel More5! for funny, weird, interesting news, along with the latest trending topics within the YouTube community. More5! - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPohYrquhWwA56kiaxJRe9A ------------------------------------------------------- Find Us On Twitter: https://twitter.com/OfficialAll5 Our Website: http://www.All5.me Outro Art by GFX Central: https://twitter.com/GFX_Central Music: "Unwritten Return" & "Your Call" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ ------------------------------------------------------- 5) Grolar Bear While many hybrid animals are man made as we directly got two species to mate, the Grolar bear is actually a naturally occurring hybrid. It's a mix of a grizzly bear and a polar bear which is a very strange mix and kind of sad too. You see grizzly bears and polar bears don't usually live among each other. However since the the polar bears natural habitat is being destroyed due to climate change, they are being forced to move further south. This is where they meet the grizzly bear, and as nature has it, they seem to get on well. Maybe too well, as now there are such thing as Grolar Bears. So while this hybrid is not man made, it's kind of an indirect result of mankind's actions. 4) Jaglion This hybrid is simply stunning. A perfect blend of two beautiful creatures. If you haven't yet guessed it's a mix of a male Jaguar and a female Lion. These two amazing cats are from the Bear Creek Exotic Wildlife Sanctuary in Barrie, Canada. They are sister and brother, and came to be after a Jaguar and Lioness who were raised together, took their relationship to the next level. The sister cat, named Jahzara inherited her father's melanism gene, giving her the dark pigmentation classic to some Jaguars. While only 6% of all Jaguars are fully black, with majority having a golden coat and black spots, Jahzara got a blend of both. She is fully black but also has the spots. While her brother wasn't so lucky, but still looks awesome. 3) Cama This interesting hybrid is created from a male Camel and female Llama. You may know that a Camel is about 6 times the size of a Llama so mating would be pretty impossible. This is why this hybrid was created using artificial insemination in Dubai. The idea and reason for this hybrid was simple. They wanted to make something with the size and strength of a camel, but with the easier temperament and higher wool production of the lama. The result was the Cama. Interestingly the Cama is also one of the rare few hybrids that are always fertile and this results from both the camel and the lama having the exact same amount of chromosomes. 2) Zebroids A Zebroid is the name for any Zebra hybrids, usually from a male Zebra and a female pony, horse or donkey. They never occur in nature and many Zebroids can be born with a form dwarfism and are almost always infertile. They usually take on the build of the female animals, but have the stripes of the Zebra. Sometimes the stripes never cover the whole body, and just appear on parts like the feet and legs or even patches over the body. 1) Wolfdog A wolfdog hybrid is actually quite common compared to the other hybrids on this list. Obviously this hybrid is a mix of a dog and a wolf. The most common mix is to use a dog breed that already has a physical resemblance with a wolf, such as a the German Shepherd. Their appearance can be quite unpredictable, but most of the time they make for much stronger and smarter pets than dogs. However they aren't as easy to domesticate and can be quite wild. With that being said though, even wolves can make excellent pets with the right conditions and owners, and be just as obedient, loyal and loving as dogs.

Please enjoy the video.

With advances in technology, genetic engineering is becoming increasingly common, which may lead to a whole new market-- GMO pets. Check out our video and accompanying blog post about some of the ethical issues involved with genetically engineering animals for pets: http://ww2.kqed.org/education/2015/12/15/would-you-buy-a-genetically-modified-pet/ This video is part of our "Do Now" project, a blog from KQED Education which asks high school students to discuss thought-provoking questions over social media. Let us know what you think about GMO pets. What are the most important ethical considerations for you? What kind of regulations, if any, should be in place?
